JKBOSE Makes Big Annoucement For 12th Class Annual/Regular Students

JKBOSE To Set Class 12th Question Papers on CBSE Pattern in 2020

In an abrupt and new move, that may be shocking to some of the 12th class students in Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Thursday announced that it would frame the question papers (changed) for class 12th regular students (2019-2020) on the blueprint of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Director Academics, JKBOSE, Farooq Ahmad Peer, issued a circular in this regard. The changed pattern of question papers can be downloaded (Click here to download All-New Class 12th Model Question Papers 2020

The circular reads :
“It is hereby notified for the information of all the candidates of Higher Secondary Part-II (JKBOSE Class 12th) for the academic session 2019-2020 (in case of Kashmir division/winter zone of summer zone areas of Jammu division) from the academic session 2020-21 (in case of summer zone areas of Jammu division) that the pattern/design of question papers has been modified and the new question papers shall now be changed taking into consideration the parameters with analytical approach, critical thinning and objectivity etc on the analogy of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the Annual (Regular) Examination scheduled to be held in October-November 2020 (in case of Kashmir division/winter zone areas of Jammu division and UT of Ladakh) and February-March 2021 (in case of summer zone areas of Jammu division),”

This is for the first time that Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has taken this move. There were rumours and apprehensions of getting the pattern of class 11th and 12th question papers changed to new CBSE one, in the past but it wasn’t implemented. Now as the move has been put in force, the students especially the Class 12th Regular students need to be aware of the whole new pattern of the question papers to avoid possible confusions in future.
