Jammu Kashmir Covid-19 Cases Today | Latest News Update

A total of 27 persons were found positive for novel coronavirus on Saturday(today) taking the total toll of (coronavirus) Covid-19 cases in UT of Jammu and Kashmir to 666 with 250 plus recoveries and 08 deaths (latest news update)

According to the latest news update from SKIMS, a total of 613 samples were tested in SKIMS overnight out of which 607 samples tested positive while 06 samples tested positive. Among the 06 positive cases, 03 are from Shopian area of South Kashmir while the other 03 hail from North Kashmir’s Baramulla. All the positive cases are believed to be the contacts of previous cases.

Jammu Kashmir Covid-19: The updated lab report from CD Hospital Srinagar (4pm yesterday to 4 pm today ) reported that 470 tests were done out of which 19 tested positive. This included yesterday’s 10 positive cases ( 8 from Jogi Lanker, Rainawari Srinagar (contacts of deceased lady), 1 from Narwara and 1 from LD hospital ) and today’s 5 cases from a single family from Batpora Rainawari, Srinagar and 4 from Anantnag.

With these cases, Srinagar’s Covid-19 tally jumped to 106, second-highest in J&K after Bandipora which has 128 cases. It is pertinent to mention that 69 persons in Srinagar and 35 persons in Bandipora have recovered while three persons have died in these two districts.
