COVID Lockdown in India Likely To Be Extended Till June 1
After having implemented three back to back lockdown in the country to contain the spread of COVID 19 , the central government of India is mostly likely to have it extended till June 1. The lockdown will be enforced with considerable relaxations in the green and orange zones. An announcement to this effect is likely to be made on Saturday.
Right now, India is in the 3rd phase of Covid lockdown which is scheduled to end on May 17. It’s been almost 2 and a half months since the commencement of first enforced extended lockdown in the country.
After having taken suggestions from various state governments on Friday, it was concluded that most of the states have seconded the extension of lock down.
There are apprehensions that if the lockdown is lifted in one go, it could make the situation even worse and as per officials the medical arena couldn’t deal with the pressure then.India has already seen 80000 plus cases with an average of 3000 cases getting surfaced everyday.
