When are Schools Going To Reopen in Jammu Kashmir and Other States of India 2020

In what can be called another big move by Modi government regarding the re-opening of schools across India , major development has taken place. The government at the centre is mulling to reopen the schools (including schools of UTs like Jammu and kashmir ) in a zone-wise manner from July, 2020.

Schools in the Green and Orange districts will be re opened first and it will be exclusively applicable for older students. For students of lower classes (class 1 to class7) , there will be a delay in getting them back to schools.

Teachers are required to be trained to follow and help others follow the guidelines.

Schools to Reopen Across India (Including Jammu Kashmir) From July 2020, hints Centre

This development has come just moments after HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal pointed to aforesaid measures. The minister also commented about the safety protocols being issued for both schools and colleges (Jammu and Kashmir included) so they can be reopen ed soon in 2020.

Ramesh Pokhriyal in his press conference also hinted that schools might reopen with just 30% capacity.

Meanwhile, India has got into the top ten list of Covid hit countries and tally nears 1 lac 40 thousand mark, leaving behind China and Iran. Furthermore India registers more number of Covid-19 cases each day with number of fatalities too showing an upward trend. The Modi government has enforced three lockdown that spanned almost two and a half months. The Lockdown 3.0 is going to end on May 31 and there are speculations about extension of lockdown amid growing number of COVID-19 infections in the country. India’s badly hit economy, growing joblessness and the case of migrant labourers are some of the challenges for the government at the centre.
