Awami Itehad Party offers condolences to the family of Javaid Ahmed. Srinagar, 2nd October: Jammu Kashmir Awami Itehad Party today expressed heartfelt condolences with the family of Senior reporter Javid Ahmad who passed away after suffering a massive heart attack on his way to Srinagar. Javid a resident of Watergam Rafiabad was presently working as a senior correspondent for one of Kashmir’s leading dailies.
It is said after reaching near Pattan, Javid suffered a massive heart attack. He was spotted by some local journalists in his vehicle and they rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Party leadership expressed deep shock and grief over the sudden demise of the young journalist and termed it as a loss for entire press fraternity in Kashmir. Party top brass, AIP Working General Secretary Parvaiz Shah, Senior leaders Sheeban Ashai, Firdous Ahmed Baba expressed their sympathies with the family of the deceased and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Rafiabad constituency in charge Mudasir Rasool visited the family of deceased journalist. Expressing solidarity with bereaved he said that tragic demise of Javed Nazir has left a vacuum which cannot be filled and termed it not only a loss for the family but an entire town which has lost a rare gem. Late Javid Ahmed will be always remembered as an intellectual and a blessed noble soul who worked for the betterment of society through his writings and activism, Rasool said in a statement.
